Matching coupons!

Sales Papers & Matching-Up Coupons!

Be sure to save all of your sales papers from the Sunday paper. You never know when you might come across a coupon that you can use to match-up to a sale.

When price matching you should lay all your coupons out or have some knowledge which coupons you have on hand.

The most popular sales papers to use for price matching are: Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us. I usually do most of my price matching on Saturday nights (if I have an early circular sneak peak… and I usually do) and on Sunday mornings.

Make a separate shopping list for each store. Be sure to include the sale price & coupon value by each item. This way when you’re in the store you can make sure the price on the shelf matches the sale price. If it doesn’t match, just ask a cashier to do a price check for you. After your list for a store is done it’s a good idea to keep the coupons with the list. This way they are on hand and you don’t have to go looking for them in the store. I like to fold my coupons up in my list for that trip, paper clip the entire thing together, and write the store name on the outside of the list. This keeps me ready and organized.
