Make A Coupon Binder, Conclusion, LINKS!

How to organize a coupon binder!

After you really get into couponing, you will notice that you need a larger means of storing and sorting your coupons. A binder is one of the best options! It will take a little more time, but finding the coupons you need in a hurry will be VERY easy!

You will need the following:

* A good binder. Any kind is fine, but I prefer the zip-up binders. I like these better because I am less likely to loose any coupons if they are all zipped up. Also there are some great zip-up binders that have an expandable file inside and extra storage pockets right on the front. These extras makes the task of being organized a cinch! Walmart sells these for approximately $10.

* Baseball card sleeve inserts. These can be found in Walmart near the front of the store where the baseball cards are sold. These sleeves have 9 separate pockets each. They run about $4-5 for a set. You should buy 2 or 3 sets to get you started.

*Plastic dividers with pockets. You will be doing a lot of  flipping back and forth in your binder so I recommend getting plastic dividers over paper ones. There are dividers that have a big pocket on the front. These big pockets are great for storing coupons that will not fit in the smaller slots of the baseball card sleeves. You should get about 7-10 dividers to start. These run anywhere from $3 up to $6.

The total cost of your binder will be around $30 to $40 depending on how fancy you want to get with it.

Now that you have everything for your binder it’s time to fill it up. Make categories as specific as possible so that you can find what your looking for. These are the categories that I have in my binder: Food, Baby, Pets, Cleaning, Bathroom, Home Fragrance, Medicine, and Store Coupons. Find what works best for you.

When putting your coupons into the baseball card slots, I recommend that you put only one type of coupon per slot. This is because a lot of coupons will need to be folded to fit and if you file them this way you will be able to read both sides of the coupons easily.

Conclusion

It may take some time to get used to this new way of shopping and that’s completely normal. Just take a few small steps at a time and don’t try to do everything all at once. You don’t want to crash and burn. Once you get the hang of things, it will be a breeze to spot deals and use coupons! It will save you and your family a great deal of money!
